Rachel Quam

Speech Language Pathologist,

Rachel lives in Devils Lake, ND with her husband and 3 children. She is the Owner of Live Strong Therapy. She received her bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from UND. Rachel has experience treating children with Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders, Fluency, Apraxia, Augmentative and Alternative

Communication (low-tech/high tech AAC), Pediatric Feeding Disorders, and Oral Facial

Myofunctional Disorders. She has completed the Feed the Peds program and is trained in McNeil Dysphagia Therapy. Rachel believes in learning through play, meeting families where they are, and collaborating with patients, families and their supports to improve therapy outcomes. She strongly believes that EVERYONE deserves a voice and EVERY child can learn.

Rachel Romfo

Rachelle lives on a farm near Calvin, ND with her husband. She has three grown children. She received her bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from UND. Most of Rachelle’s experience has come from treating children with Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders, and Fluency in the schools. She has familial experience with Parkinson’s Disease and is certified in SPEAK OUT! and The LOUD Crowd. Rachelle believes in learning through literacy and play as well as collaborating with patients and families to help them meet their communication goals. She strongly believes in the importance of communication as the foundation for connection and growth. Rachelle is dedicated to creating engaging and meaningful experiences that support growth, build connection, and promote success in everyday communication.

Samantha McCloud

Speech Language Pathologist,

M.S., CCC-SLP

Samantha lives on a farm near Maddock with her husband and 3 young boys. When she is not seeing clients for LiveStrong Therapy, she is chasing her boys at all their various sporting events and activities. She also has a passion for growing the next generation of professionals in this field, so she teaches Speech-Language Pathology Assistant courses at Lake Region State College. Sam received her bachelor’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Minot State University, followed by her master’s in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sam has experience treating a variety of pediatric speech and language disorders but has specific interest and expertise in treating Articulation and Phonological Disorders as well as Childhood Apraxia of Speech. Sam strongly believes that learning should be FUN and strives to bring laughter and joy to every treatment session.

Sara Ernst

Speech Language Pathologist,

Sara has lived in Bismarck, ND for the past 24 years with her husband and three daughters. She received her bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and master's in Speech Language Pathology from the University of North Dakota. Sara has experience treating children with Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders, Fluency, Apraxia, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (low-tech/high-tech AAC), Social-Emotional Learning, and pre-literacy. She is trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), PROMPT (tactile speech therapy method), LIPS, Orton Gillingham and Social Thinking Methodology. Sara believes in collaborating, connecting, and supporting patients and their families to improve therapy outcomes.

Candice Heck

Speech Language Pathologist,

M.S., CCC-SLP

Candice lives in Bismarck, ND with her husband and two children. She is originally from Minnesota but has lived in Bismarck for the past 25 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Dakota. Candice has experience evaluating and treating Articulation and Phonological Disorders, Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders, Fluency Disorders, Apraxia, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (low-tech/high tech AAC), and Social Communication Disorders. She has received training with Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), PROMPT (a tactile-kinesthetic-proprioceptive (TKP) therapy approach), DTTC (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing) and Social Thinking Methodology. Candice believes in building trust and genuine connections with children and their families because progress begins with strong relationships. She believes in celebrating each child's unique strengths, supporting their individual needs, and helping them reach their fullest communication potential.
